Highlights for the week of June 23, 2008
Monday: Today is water play day!! If the weather permits we will join the other kindergarten classes outside for some fun water games at the end of the day. Today we will review addition and practice a little subtraction as well. We will cover our shoe boxes today so they are ready for decorations and transformation into wonderful book boxes tomorrow.
Tuesday: Today we will practice singing our songs on the stage so we are ready for tomorrow. We will decorate our book boxes and fill them with lots of reading and writing supplies to keep us busy through the summer. Please help your child to find a special place to keep their book box at home and encourage them to use the things inside.
Wednesday: Today is our kindergarten celebration and picnic. The show will begin at 9:45 in the cafeteria, you may want to be a few minutes early to find a good seat. After the show you may join us in our classroom for a few minutes. Finally, we will join all of the other kindergarten families outside for a picnic gathering. You may want to bring some lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on while you picnic outside. The kindergarten teachers will supply the dessert.
Thursday: This morning we will meet our new first grade teachers, pack up the rest of our belongings, say our good-byes and zoom out of school for the summer.
