Dear Parents/Guardians:

 

The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District is planning to offer Pre-Kindergarten programs for the 2008-2009 school year.  These programs are aimed at preparing children and their families for their elementary school experience.

 

For planning purposes, applications are due by February 15, 2008.  This will allow RCS and local pre-school providers to plan appropriate programs to meet the needs of your child.

 

We invite you to complete an application for your child for Pre-Kindergarten.

The Pre-K’s provide:

Ø       Service to RCS children who are age 4 by December 1, 2008

Ø       Transportation (Birthdays between September 1st and December 1st will need parent transport until 4th birthday)

Ø       A lottery system will be used to select student attendance

 

To apply, you MUST COMPLETE the following and return by Friday, February 15, 2008:

Ø       Application form (both sides) Available in the main office at A.W. Becker and P.B. Coeymans Elementary

Ø       Free & Reduced Lunch form with verification Available in the main office at A.W. Becker and P.B. Coeymans Elementary

Ø       Copy of birth certificate, baptismal, passport, or other documentation

Ø       Two proofs of residency

Ø       Custody papers

Ø       Social Security Card

A parent night has been designed for you to get more information about the programs, the selection process, and to meet some of our staff.  Parent Information Night will be on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 6:30pm at A.W. Becker.
