Caswell who has filled the post
since the September resignation
of Michael Strenka.
The new treasurer previously
served as deputy budget officer

that post for 13 years until
moving to the Capital District
to be closer to his family.

“Mr. Pizzo is highly qualified
for the position and we look
forward to a long, productive
working relationship with him,”

Board and administration
representatives interviewed six
candidates for the post with the
Board of Education interviewing
two finalists Monday before
making their selection.
