RCS Girl’s
tennis ends season 6-1, heads to sectionals
The RCS Varsity Girl’s
Tennis Team finished the season 6-1 on Tuesday and will
compete in the Sectionals in the coming two weeks.
Also,
Senior Christine Cary dominated the
Colonial Council Tournament on
Sept. 29, knocking-off the top seed to win the tournament in
a hard-fought match.
“It was a
great day for tennis,” said coach Karen Miller.
Team
sectional competition started Oct. 9 with RCS playing
Lansingburgh. Individual tennis matches in sectionals start
on Oct. 17 in Schenectady.
Cary will
lead the RCS team, starting the individual competition
seeded 9th out of 70 players, Miller said. |
