New parent-tot swim class sent to dive into
RCS Aquatics Center
Responding to numerous requests from residents, a new
parent-tot swim course that teaches youths as young as 18
months the basics of water safety while also providing a
bonding experience for parent and child will begin on
November 7.
The class, which runs for five weeks in the RCS Aquatics
Center, is scheduled for Wednesdays and will provide parents
with two session choices – mornings and evenings. The
morning session begins at 9:45 a.m. and the evening session
at 5:30 p.m. Each session is limited to 10 “tots.”
The class helps children become more comfortable in the
water and develop a readiness for learning to swim.
Parents will also be provided with information to assist
their child to adjust to the water.
The fee for the class is $30 residents and $45 for
non-residents.
“This is a great opportunity for parents and child to bond
and learn valuable water safety information for the child,”
said Aquatics Director Dave Burns.
