New member on RCS board

The Board of Education on Monday appointed Rosemary Puckett to the vacant ninth seat on the board.

She received 491 votes during last week's non-binding public election, during which she was the only candidate for the position.

A mother of two students at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School, she is a bookkeeper for the town of Coeymans and has been an active volunteer for the school’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO).

She will serve on the board until the May elections.
