RCS students are instantly
admitted to HVCC
Forty-eight RCS seniors have
ensured themselves the start of
a higher education next fall.
The
students lined up to be part of
Hudson Valley Community
College’s instant Admissions Day
at RCS on Wednesday, seizing the
opportunity of no application
fee and instantaneous response
to their application to enroll
in the college, RCS School
Counselor Peter Dwyer reported.
“Two
representatives from HVCC came
here and the students were
accepted on the spot, with the
$40 application fee waived,”
Dwyer reported.
The
students enrolled in programs
ranging from criminal justice to
engineering and manufacturing
technology.
Dwyer said the 48 students
represent a 9 percent increase
from last year, when 44 students
took advantage of the instant
admissions day.
