RCS sends six to 'Melodies' performances

A record six RCS students performed this year in the holiday TV concert

A record six RCS students will bring traditional Christmas Music to the masses this Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as part of the Melodies of Christmas Concert.

The six - bolstered by top student musicians from around the Capital Region - took part in the performances Dec. 13 through Sunday, the 16th.at Proctors Theater in Schenectady.

The performances were taped and will be aired on Channel 6 on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

RCS student performers are:

Seniors

·         Gabriella Ballou, a soprano making her third appearance in the Melodies performance

·         Kristin Sterling, an alto making her second appearance

·         Jamie Sanderson, an alto making her first appearance

Juniors

·         Rachel Albano, an alto making her first appearance

·         Erika Frati, an alto making her first appearance

·         Justin Purcell, a bass making his first appearance
