Next ‘town hall’ style meeting scheduled

RCS Superintendent Vicki Wright will conduct her next “town hall” style meeting on January 10 in Selkirk.

In the style of traditional New England town hall meetings, the entire RCS community is invited to attend the 7 p.m. meeting, voice their opinions on the status of RCS and outline any concerns they may have. Whenever possible, Superintendent Vicki Wright, Board of Education representatives and other administrators will answer questions.

The meeting will be conducted at the Selkirk Fire House on Maple Avenue.

The first meeting, which was held in November, drew nearly 60 community residents for a constructive two-hours of dialogue, Wright said.

The district expects this meeting to continue the discussion over the state of the district and provide an opportunity to address concerns residents and parents may have. The idea is not to address personnel matters or to continue to vocalize well documented grievances, Wright said.
