fields scholar athletes
Five fall teams qualified for
prestigious New York State Scholar
Athlete Team Awards, Athletic
Director Ron Racey reported this
week.
To qualify, the team's scholastic
average must be in excess of 90
percent. The scholar athlete teams
and their averages were:

Girl's cross country - 90.2
percent

Girl's soccer - 93.6 percent

Girl's volleyball - 92.3 percent

Girl's tennis - 90.4 percent

Boy's cross country - 91.2
percent
Three of RCS' award winning teams
boasted rosters on which 100 percent
maintained scholastic averages in
excess of 85 percent. They were the
girl's varsity tennis, girl's
varsity soccer and girl's varsity
volleyball, Racey said.
Overall, Racey reported, the RCS
fall athletes maintained an 89.4
average with 76 percent of the
students maintaining an average in
excess of 85.
