championship belt
WBE Welterweight Boxing Champion
Liz Mooney visited A.W. Becker
Elementary School on Tuesday to
thank the third grade students
in Janice Burriesci’s class for
their letters of encouragement
and to show off her new
championship belt.
The pugilist – who is the mother
of two A.W.B students – also
baked cupcakes and wrote thank
you notes to the students, who
included her son, Liam..
Mooney said the students’
letters “were spread out in my
locker room prior to the bout.
They were cute and uplifting and
some offered some very
insightful encouragement.”
“All Biz” Mooney won the
championship Saturday in a bout
that drew national attention – (http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/2007-11-30-1517627746_x.htm)
