A "major" fundraiser for
beloved ill RCS Middle
School Teacher Colin Poole
will take place Friday
at RCS High School.
The highlight of the event
is a faculty and staff
versus State Police
basketball game, but the
evening will also feature
appearances and
entertainment by
Capital Region radio
personality Ric Mitchell
from B95.5; the RCS staff
"dance troupe" and the JV
cheerleading squad.
Additionally a silent
auction featuring everything
from a tour of CBS' New York
City to a $100 Lowes Gift
Card will take place.
list of items to be
auctioned. There
will also be a half court
hoop shot for middle school
students.
The district is rallying
to raise money for the
28-year-old Poole, who
was diagnosed early this
school year with a rare
form of cancer called
Burkitt’s lymphoma. Burkitt
lymphoma is a very fast
growing form of
non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
Poole and his wife, who
live in Colonie, are
presently in New York
City, where is being
treated at the Sloan
Kettering Cancer Center.
Besides the state
troopers, some of the
players to be featured
in the basketball game
include:

Teacher Tony “Too Tall”
Lintner; Teacher Anthony

gymnasium. The game is
