students

Elementary
School
students
were
taught a
lesson
or two
by
rats on
Tuesday.
Representatives
of the Albany
River
Rats and
mascot
Rowdy
met
with
students
in third
through
fifth grade,
talking
about
the
importance
of
exercise,
as well
as what
life as
a
professional
athlete
is like.
they
also
showed
off the
equipment
they use
and
wear.
“They
took
questions
from the
students
and
interacted
with
them and
generally
had a
good
time,”
said
Denise
Hughes,
president
of the A.W.
Becker
PTA,
which is
sponsored
the
assembly.
