celebrate
cultural
diversity
on
Friday
by
celebrating
the
start of
the year
of the
Rooster.
Students
in
Marissa
Tutay’s
third
grade
class
will
celebrate
the
Chinese
New Year
The
celebration
will
include
a
traditional
Chinese
Dragon,
a dragon
dance
and the
exchange
of red
envelopes.
While
tradition
has it
that
Chinese
children
are
given
red
envelopes
with
money,
the
students
in
Tutay’s
class
will be
presented
envelopes
with
fake
money in
it that
they
will
then use
to
complete
math
problems.
