RCS website continues to be a popular draw
The number of district
residents turning to the RCS district website for news
and information continues to remain near record levels.
The website –
www.rcscsd.org – drew 6,116 unique visitors during
February – the most recent timeframe available. The
all-time record visitor record for the website was set
in March, 2007, when 6,261 unique visitors turned to the
site.
The
unique visitor’s statistic, which is defined as an
individual computer, is considered by many to be the
best data for tracking website usage. It measures the
number of individuals who visited a website during a
reporting period, but only counts visits from their
computer once during the period. If someone visits more
than once, they are counted only the first time.
The
website is updated daily with news, photos, schedules
and more.
The
main page, school homepages, employment pages and
department pages continue to be the top visited
locations in the website and RCS Today – the
district’s weekly e-mail newsletter – remains a popular
starting point for viewers.
