New interim Business Administrator appointed

The Board of Education appointed on Monday a 40-year veteran of the education system to serve as interim business administrator.

Dennis Geisler started work Wednesday, filling the post vacated in October by Gene Grasso.

Geisler, who lives in Red Hook, Dutchess County, has held various posts in education since 1968, starting as a teacher serving as a business administrator in the Red Hook, Roundout Valley and Onteora schools and an interim business administrator in the Catskill, Chatham and Haldene schools.

He has also served as an assistant superintendent for business in the Hyde Park central School District and assistant to the superintendent of the Dutchess County BOCES, as well as interim superintendent of the Germantown Central School District.

“Dennis brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to RCS that will serve our district well,” said Superintendent Vicki Wright.
