Upcoming RCS budget presentations include New Baltimore,
Bethlehem and Ravena
RCS
representatives will make presentations on the proposed
2008-09 school year budget at several upcoming village and
town meetings.
Presentation will be made May 6, 7 p.m. at the Ravena
Village Board meeting; May 12, 7:30 p.m. at the New
Baltimore Town Board meeting and May 14, 6 p.m. at the
Bethlehem Town Board meeting, 6 p.m.
Additionally, the district will conduct a public hearing on
the budget proposal on May 12, starting at 7 p.m. in the
high school. The district budget vote and Board of Education
elections is May 20, with ballots being cast from 7a.m.
until 9 p.m. in the high school.
The
$41.9 million proposed budget would increase spending by
2.17 percent and the tax levy by 2.64 percent. The increases
are the lowest proposed by the district in several years,
Superintendent Vicki Wright said.
