Senior earns accolades in national
competition

Danielle Rudolph was part of a team of if Capital
Region BOCES students honored for earning honorable
mention in a recent international competition in New
York City.
Rudolph and the other
International Virtual Business students from Capital
Region BOCES’ Career and Technical School competed
against students from 159 schools representing
countries from around the world during the April 4
competition.
The Capital Region
International Virtual Business students operated
their own virtual company, Kustom Kickz athletic
shoes, for the competition. They also heard from New
York City Mayor and business billionaire Michael
Bloomberg.
Through the school
year, they are learning through an internationally
recognized curriculum known as Virtual Enterprise.
Students from the
region competing included: Rudolph, James Sawyer
(Berne-Knox-Westerlo), Quentin Boxer (Schenectady),
Samantha Powers (Watervliet), Natalya Ivashina
(Niskayuna), Crystal Mosier (Mohonasen), Greg Weaver
(Voorheesville), Victoria Taylor (Voorheesville),
ShaQuayah Graham (Guilderland), Matthew Persaud
(Schenectady) and Stephanie Pane Mohonasen).
