The search for an
interim superintendent for the RCS school district is
underway and the district's Board of Education is looking to
setup interviews with potential candidates as soon as
possible, board Vice President Cindi Elliott said.
Elliott reported this
week that the board is looking towards an interim
superintendent who is experienced in the role and has a
"business orientation" to compliment the "strong"
instructional skills of Assistant Superintendent Diane
Albano, Ed.D.
The vice president
said the board has taken into consideration feedback on the
process from a number of bargaining units within the
district and has gathered the names of potential candidates
from Capital Region BOCES and the district's law firm.
"We are attempting to
get interviews lined up as soon as possible," Elliott said.
