Teacher, retired teacher tape
show
RCS
English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher John Parker Jr. and retired RCS Teacher
Josephine Prozik joined forces to tape a show about a new
book that recounts the Cuban revolution.
The book, by
Professor Yolanda Ortal, is
titled "The Sleepwalker's Ballad" and is described as
a "vivid portrayal of a period of time, that has impacted
the lives of millions and the history of Cuba."
The book takes place in Cuba
during the last two years of the Batista dictatorship and
the first three years of Fidel Castro's.
Parker played the part
of Pres. John F. Kennedy and
Fidel Castro in the Spanish version and
Che Guevara in the English version of the dramatic
production of the book that was taped
recently
at the College of St. Rose.
Prozik, who retired from RCS last year, was stage manager
for the production and interviewed Ortal for the TV
production about the play.
The production will be shown across the U.S. while Ortal
does a national publicity tour for the tome.
