Group of teachers get into a sticky situation at RCS
They’ were taped to the wall for a good cause.
Talk about a sticky
situation.
In a scene straight
from an 1980s teenage comedy movie, several RCS Middle
School teachers and administrators were bound to the
walls of the school’s cafeteria on Friday by a group of
zealous and generous students.
The teachers and
administrators – Marty Case, Ted Smith, Anthony
Marturano, Christina Maloney, Mary Ellen Hayes and
Principal Liz SantaBarbara – were taped to the
walls during various lunch periods.
Students - and some
fellow faculty members - purchased sections of duct tape
- $1 for a foot, $2 for three feet – to carry out the
task.
Sponsored by the Natural
Helpers Club and the Spanish Club, all funds raised from
the event were split between future school events and a
donation to cancer-stricken middle school teacher Colin
Poole.
