Celebrations mark closing days of school

Pomp, circumstance and celebrations will abound at RCS for the remainder of this week as students celebrate milestones in the education.  

On Wednesday, kindergarten students at A.W.  Becker Elementary School will celebrate the closing of their first year of school with a celebration that starts at 9:45 a.m.

Meanwhile, fifth grade students at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School will celebrate the close of their elementary years with a graduation celebration that begins at 10:30 a.m. And, eighth grade students will graduate from the middle school during a ceremony that begins at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the high school.

On Thursday,  A.W. Becker fifth grade students will mark the close of their elementary education with a celebration that begins at 10 a.m. at the Selkirk school.

Finally, on Saturday, the Class of 2008 will graduate in a ceremony that starts at 9 a.m. in  the Empire State Plaza.
