PBC students honored for
academic success
Four dozen Pieter B.
Coeymans Elementary School students were honored
Wednesday with awards for their academic
performance.
The students were
selected for the Presidential Award for Academic
Excellence and the Presidential Award for Academic
Achievement.
Presidential Award for Academic Excellence:
Students receiving this award have a 90 percent
or higher average. They demonstrate high
motivation, initiative, integrity, intellectual
depth and leadership qualities performed well on
the state English Language Arts (ELA) and math
assessments. They have also been recommended by
their teachers to receive this award.
