Absentee ballots for June 17 vote are now available
RCS
district residents are registered voters and will not be
able to vote in person during the June 17 vote on the
bus proposition may apply to receive an absentee ballot.
Residents will head to
the polls that day to vote on a
$403,427 proposition
to authorize the purchase of four buses that
would replace vehicles that are 12 and 13 years old
and less fuel efficient, said Transportation
Director Janice Prior.
The purchase - which
typically appears on the May ballot but did not this
year - continues
the district’s effort to maintain not only a safe
fleet, but replace the buses on a routine basis as
opposed to making a more costly one-time purchase
that could result in a spike in the district’s tax
levy.
