High School students earn scholarships, accolades

Nearly three dozen RCS seniors got a head start on graduation during the annual scholarship and awards night on Tuesday.

The students were presented scholarships and awards from local community groups, residents, businesses and even the U.S. Marine Corps.

Below is a list of the scholarships, the presenters and the recipients.

  • American Red Cross Scholarship presented by  Erin McMullen to Ashley White;

  • Lafarge Award presented by John Reagan to  Garrett Frueh and Vicky Tiberia;

  • Peter C. Clouse Memorial Scholarship presented by Peter Clouse

  • to Andrew Philpott;

  • Ravena Shop N’ Save Service Award presented by Sarah Tripp to

  • Kevin Bruno, Maureen Cinque, Nicholas Covey, Khloe Houlihan, Lisette Luna and Zachary Nagy;

  • Ravena Shop N’ Save Jeremy McKeown Memorial Award presented by Sarah Tripp to David Radley;

  • RCS School Related Professionals Award presented by Diane Pry to

  • Karl Hunter and Emilie Searles

  • SABIC Innovative Plastics Award presented to Zoee Ostrander;

  • Seana Hazelton Memorial Scholarship presented by Mary Lisa and John Sickles to Corinn Haker, Chelsea Miller, Jessica Meyer, Jamie Paeglow, Jourdan Vatalaro, Erica Wagner, Amanda White, Ashley White and Alyssa Williams;

  • Selkirk Cogen Scholarship presented to Rebecca Herrington, Karl Hunter, Jessica Meyer, Zachary Nagy and Nori Williams;

  • Quantum Engineering Scholarship presented by  Dennis Wilsey to s: Ryan Adamson, Steven Busch and Garrett Frueh;

  • United States Marine Corps Award presented to Ryan Adamson, Garrett Frueh, Jacob Hyer and Amanda White.

RCS will conducts its graduation ceremonies on June 28, starting at
9 a.m. in the convention center in the Empire State Plaza in Albany.
