Board of Education approves district tax warrant

The Board of Education on Monday approved the final tax levy and tax warrants for the 2007-08 school year.

The $21,027,419 tax levy was approved with the May 17 district voter approval of the $41 million budget. Tax rates are as follows:

• Bethlehem - $18.31 per $1,000 assessed property value
• Coeymans - $16.93
• New Scotland - $17.82
• New Baltimore - $26.24

Tax bills will be mailed by September 1.
