A.W.B. Back-to-School event is Sept. 12
 

The A.W. Becker Elementary School Back-to-School barbecue is being conducted on Sept. 12, from 4-7 p.m. at the elementary School.

The wrong date was listed in the August edition of the Chalkboard.

“We hope that parents and the community come-out and enjoy themselves and realize that we truly are a community working towards one goal –the betterment of our children,” said PTA President Denise Hughes.

The social is designed to celebrate education and bring together the school, families and communities. It is also designed to boost parental involvement in the school since studies have repeatedly shown that academic success hinges of the support and involvement of parents in their schools.
