Ride for
Missing
Children
A contingent
of 75
bicyclists
will include
A.W.
Elementary
School on
their ride
to raise
awareness of
missing and
exploited
children,
Interim
Superintendent
Michael
Johnson
reported.
The
September 26
Capital
Region Ride
for Missing
and
Exploited
Children
will include
a stop at
the
elementary
school as
bicyclists
commute from
Voorheesville
to
Coxsackie,
Greenville
and back to
the YMCA in
Bethlehem
before
stopping in
Albany at
the state
museum.
It has not
yet been
determined
what
involvement
students,
faculty and
staff will
have with
the event.
However,
Assistant
Superintendent
Diane
Albano, Ed.D.,
did say last
week that an
assembly
will be
conducted to
prepare
students for
involvement
in the
event.
Johnson also
reported
that
Athletic
Director Ron
Racey has
volunteered
to take part
in the
100-mile
bicycle ride
to serve as
a district
representative.
