Continuing education program returns; some classes start early

RCS is once again offering its popular Continuing Education Program this fall.

Classes on everything from basic computing to kayaking and overcoming debt will be offered. The fall Continuing Education Guide is mailing this week to every district resident with a description of each of the approximately 40 courses being offered. The guide is also available online at: http://www.rcscsd.org/Cont._Education/Fall_2008_Cont_Ed_V8.pdf

In-person registration for courses will take place September 10, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Aquatics Center.

Continuing Education Coordinator Patricia Hommel said that because of a scheduling conflict, the popular driver’s education course will not be offered this fall.

Additionally, she said, the Kripalu Yoga course is beginning early on Sept. 9 in A.W.B. Room 239. To register for this or other courses by mail, use the registration form available here: http://www.rcscsd.org/Cont._Education/registration_form.pdf

Mail the registration form and a check, payable to RCS schools, for the fee to Patricia Hommel, 2025 Rt.9W Ravena, NY 12143.

For information on the program, call Mrs. Hommel at 756-5200, ext.2037. For Continuing Education courses involving the pool, contact Aquatics Director Dave Burns at ext. 2065.
