RCS issues meal reminder to parents

Parents and guardians of RCS students are encouraged to payoff in a timely manner any meal charges their students make.

District policy states that “two charges will be allowed by students for lunch … 10 days after two charges, the parent/guardian will be send a bill along with an application for free and reduced lunch….If a student does not have funds for a lunch a third time, they will be served vegetables, fruit and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich lunch or, if allergic to nuts, a cheese sandwich lunch.”

Students who continually appear without meal money will be referred to the principal and the school social worker.

Food Services Director George Dardani said the charge policy will be strictly enforced this year.
