National Honor Society to turn tech trash into cash

The RCS High School National Honor Society is collecting electronic waste - everything from old or broken ink jets and cell phones to digital cameras - as part of a new fundraiser.

The organization will collect cell phones, ink jets, DVD movie and video games, laptop/notebook computers, MP3 players and digital cameras and sell them to EcoPhones, a recycling company.

RCS will receive between $1 and $300 per object it collects and turns over to EcoPhones. Proceeds from the event will be used for community service activities, National Honor Society membership supplies and other society functions.

For more on the fundraiser, follow this link: School Fundraiser - Cell Phone, Ink Jet, DVD Movie & DVD Video Game, Laptop / Notebook Computer, MP3 Player and Digital Camera Recycling Fundraiser'

To donate an item to the recycling fundraiser, give it to a National Honor Society member or drop it off at the high school during school hours.
