National Honor Society to
turn tech trash into cash
The RCS High School National Honor Society is collecting
electronic waste - everything from old or broken ink jets
and cell phones to digital cameras - as part of a new
fundraiser.
The organization will
collect cell phones,
ink jets,
DVD movie and video games, laptop/notebook computers, MP3
players and digital cameras and sell them to EcoPhones, a
recycling company.
RCS will receive between $1
and $300 per object it collects and turns over to EcoPhones.
Proceeds from the event will
be used for community service activities, National Honor
Society membership supplies and other society functions.
