Board of Education Profile: Sarah Hafensteiner
Sarah Hafensteiner is serving her
sixth non-consecutive term on the board of
education.
The Coeymans resident previously served on
the board until 2003, having served as
chairman of various board committees as
well as serving as president and vice
president.
She and her husband Marc are the parents of
three RCS graduates - Benjamin, class of
1999, Jacob, class of 2002, Sam, class of
2005, and Abigail, who is currently a
senior.
She is Treasurer of the First Reformed
Church of Bethlehem, Playground Consultant
for Children’s Playgrounds by GORIC and a
former commercial banker. Hafensteiner has
worked as a substitute teacher in all four
schools and has been active in both parent
and sports associations.
Her term
expires in 2009.
