(May 3, 2011) Six RCS High School students enrolled
in Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical School programs competed in the
New York State SkillsUSA Competition April 13-15 in Syracuse. Emily Pecora,
a senior in the Floral Design program, scored second place in the state in
Floral Design. Josh Agans, a senior in the Building Trades program, brought
home third place in the state in Cabinetmaking.
Also competing were Bridget Hotaling, a Food Services student, in the
Actions Skills event; Mike Jeffries, a Food Services student, in the Food
Prep Assistant event; Kathleen Lynch, a Nurse Assistant student, in the
First Aid event and Rebecca Shook, a Food Services student, in the
Employment Application Process event.
Congratulations to all for your accomplishments and for representing RCS at
the state level!
