(Nov.
10, 2011) At the end of October, middle school students in Beth Rice's class
(pictured at right) played detective as they studied "animal signs" at Five
Rivers in Delmar.
The group walked along a trail with an instructor from Five Rivers to look for signs that animals had been there. They searched and identified signs, such as animal tracks, rubbings, dens and hair/feathers left behind. Students even had the opportunity to make a mold of a deer track!
This field trip was funded through a scholarship from the Friends of Five Rivers.
