(Feb.
27, 2012) You love the movie; now see the entire gang from
Grease onstage at the RCS High School Auditorium. The spirited class of '59:
hubcap-stealing, hot rod loving boys and their gum chewing, wisecracking
girls in bobby sox and pedal pushers.
While hip Danny Zuko and wholesome
Sandy Dumbrowski resolve the problems of their mutual attraction, the gang
sings and dances its way through such nostalgic scenes as the pajama party,
the prom, the burger palace, and the drive-in movie. Sing along to your
favorite songs including "Summer Nights," "We Go Together," "Look at Me I’m
Sandra Dee," "Beauty School Dropout" and "Born to Hand Jive." Don't be a square –
come out and remember the fabulous '50s!
Junior Simeon Hart will play Danny Zuko and senior Mickayla Shear will
play Sandy Dumbrowski. The Pink Ladies include: Sarah Barger-Anderson as
Rizzo, Miranda Hyer as Frenchy, Kathleen Askew as Marty, Johanna Muller and
Maddy Wamsley as Jan. The Burger Palace Boys will be portrayed by Joe
Kelly as Kenickie, Roy Swann as Roger, David Andrews as Sonny and Michael
Persico as Doody.
The cast of zany charters also includes Eugene Posniewski as The Teen Angel,
Jeff Picarazzi as Vince Fontaine, Maddy Wamsley and Johanna Muller as Miss
Lynch, Skye Cardona as Cha-Cha DeGregorio, Joe Ennis as Johnny Casino, and
Emily Marston as Patty Simcox, Rachel Neumann as Blanche, and Collin Adams
and Mick Fryer as Eugene Florczyk, along with a large Ensemble cast and
crew. The stage at RCS High School will be full of talented young
performers.
