RCS Musicians Perform With Professional Ensemble

(April 2, 2012) Nine RCS high school musicians were invited to perform a concert with the Capital Region Wind Ensemble concert on Sunday, March 25 at Schenectady County Community College.  A total of 30 students from 14 Capital Region schools joined the professional ensemble of wind and percussion players to perform the last two selections of the program. RCS is extremely proud that nearly a third of the talented student musicians selected from the event were drawn from our district.

Area students have been invited to perform with the CRWE for several years. Participating musicians take part in three rehearsals with the ensemble, as well as master classes with CRWE musicians. It is an exceptional opportunity for our student musicians to train and perform alongside professionals.
