High School Vandalized

(June 8, 2012) Our high school was unfortunately vandalized last night, both inside and outside of the building. Students accessed unauthorized, unsupervised areas of the building, without permission, after school hours. This violation required our staff, and some students, to dedicate their personal time and effort to put our school back together. Intentionally damaging, destroying or vandalizing school property or personal property is a violation of board of education policy and of our school’s code of conduct.

We are a learning community.

As adults in this learning community, we are not willing to sacrifice the health and safety of ourselves or our students, we are not willing to sacrifice the integrity of our school building, and we will not tolerate the loss of valuable planning or instructional time. These acts and any similar acts will be dealt with in accordance with our disciplinary code of conduct, and with the assistance of local law enforcement.
