60 RCS Musicians Selected for GCMEA Fall All-County Music Festival

 

(October 16, 2012) The RCS Music Department is proud to announce that 60 students from the middle school and high schools have been selected to participate in this year’s Fall All-County Music Festival.

Festival musicians will have the opportunity to rehearse together on Wednesday and Friday, Oct. 24 and 26, at Hunter-Tannersville High School and the festival will culminate with a public performance on Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m. featuring four All-County groups: the Senior Jazz Ensemble, Elementary Chorus, Junior Band and Senior Chorus.

Representing RCS at the festival will be:

Sr. Jazz Ensemble: Ryan Perrotte, alto sax; Naomi Hartnagel; trombone; Austin Snyder, trumpet; Graham Wolfe, piano; Madeline Civill, bass; and Emily Shear, drums and percussion.

Elementary Chorus 6th graders: Part 1: Mackenzie Therrien, Elayna Rivera, Samantha Baker, Veronica Conklin, Conner Wills, Jessica Hogan and Dana Hotaling. Part 2: Alexis Albright, Meghan Borger, Evelyn Hyer, Mackenzie Jones, Kayla Loomis, Logan O’Brien, Bryan Schwabrow, Abigail Varney and Evelyn Lawton.

Jr. Band 9th graders: Madeline Reilly and Natalie Spindler, flute; Renee Perrotte and Diana Voronko, clarinet; Benjamin Andrews, Alto sax; Kenneth Mueller, baritone sax; Donovan Varney, trumpet; Kathryn Rowzee and Emmalynn Knapp, French horn, Everett Marston, trombone and Caitlin Borger, percussion.

Jr. Band 7th and 8th graders: Jordan Hazzard, alto sax; Nicholas Sabatino and Matthew Hildenbrand, trumpet; Michael Tuttle and Hope vay, trombone; and Cameron Shackelton, tuba.

Sr. Chorus: Soprano: Kathleen Askew, Kalie LeMieux and Victoria Youmans; Alto: Darian Harbeck, Alexandra Myers and Madison VanDenburg; Tenor: Joseph Ennis, Brennan Flory, Michael Fryer, Kyle Pentak and Michael Persico; Bass: Jack Doane, Simeon Hart, Luke Misuraca, Justin Olmeda and Darren Palmer.

The GCMEA Fall All-County concert at Hunter-Tannersville begins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26. Admission is $2 for adults, $1 for students and seniors and $6 for families. Congratulations to our outstanding music students!
