News for the week of June 8^th

Grade 4

Dear Parents and Guardians,

            We survived the heat wave.  The children really were great.  I am impressed by how well they behaved and dealt with the heat this week.  They truly are a wonderful group of kids and I know I will miss them greatly next year.  I have enjoyed working and laughing with them this year.

What we did this week:

Reader’s Workshop- We worked in our guided reading groups reading and discussing books. 

Writer’s Workshop- We finished our memoir unit.  We celebrated and shared.  The memoirs were great!

 Math-We started our check book unit.  We will be working on our party planning project next week.

Social Studies- We explored the Revolutionary War.  There will be a test next week.

Science- We started our unit on chemicals.
