PBC Book Fair
(March
3, 2010)- PBC will hold a book fair March 8-12. It
is a buy one, get one free event. Hours of operation
are: Mon., March 8 through Thurs., March 11, 9-11
a.m. and 1-3 p.m.; Friday, March 12, 9-11 a.m. and
6-8 p.m. during bingo.

student's artwork to be published
(Feb.
11, 2010)- PBC third grader Annabelle Conover will see
her artwork published in an upcoming issue of Magic
Dragon Magazine, a quarterly magazine that publishes
writing and artwork from children up to age 12 from
all over the U.S. Conover's art teacher, Ms. Wolfe,
submitted her piece titled "A Turkey" last year when
Conover was in second grade. In creating "A Turkey,"
Conover used a scratchboard technique.
Following is a poem Conover wrote to accompany her
artwork:
A Turkey
A
turkey
Sitting there
Very down
Landing there
Without a
Sound!!
"I am
so proud of Annabelle," said Ms Wolfe. "She is a
very talented artist."

On Friday, January 15, Stephen Anthus, Ariyanna
Bancroft, Madison Bidwell, Alexander Higgens, Gavyn
Kilminster, Ciara Miller, Andrew Pierce, Anthony
Pistritto, Luciano Polverelli, and Ryan Zampella attended the Martin Luther King Jr. art show at
Siena College. Each student had a
piece of their own artwork on display. Additionally,
the following students had work on display at
the concourse of the Empire State Plaza in Albany:
Selena Boehlke, Chalonne Hemmings, Jenna Garner,
Justin Boehlke, and Zachary Bathrick.

SCHOOL EMERGENCIES
In case of an
emergency that affects our school, please continue
to refer to the RCS website, local radio and TV
reports.
SCHEDULE
Starting Monday,
January 4, 2010, our school day
will start at 8:45 a.m., 15
minutes earlier than the current
start time. Dismissal will be
3:30 p.m. Monday through
Thursday and 3:15 p.m. on
Friday. Please plan accordingly,
once again:
Starting Monday, January 4,
2010, elementary school students
will be picked up 15 minutes
earlier every morning. This
includes the AM Pre-K students.
Our AM Pre-K students will be
dismissed at 11:15 each day.
On Fridays, starting January 8,
2010, elementary school students
will arrive home approximately
15 minutes later. This includes
the PM Pre-K students. We will
be dismissed at 3:15.
