Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School to kick
off school year on Sept. 8 with annual First Day celebration
(Aug. 31, 2010) Pieter B.
Coeymans Elementary School's much anticipated annual First
Day celebration will be held Sept. 8. A
community parade at 2 p.m. –
the route will run from South Clement to VanHosessen St. – will highlight the events
of the day, but many other
activities for students and
community members are planned.
They include
breakfast; a morning social with a
number of community representatives
on hand including
Cornell Cooperative Extension, St.
Patrick’s Food Pantry, Pieter B.
Coeymans Parent-Teacher
Organization, Girl Scouts, STARS Program, RCS
Community Library, NYS Child Health
Plus and the NYS Education
Department and Child Nutritionists;
a

character education performance; a
community luncheon; and a community
parent project.

Please note the changed
ur school day
will start at 9:00 a.m.
Dismissal will be 3:30 p.m.
Monday through Thursday and on
Fridays at 3:15 p.m.
Our AM Pre-K students will be
dismissed at 11:30 a.m. Monday
through Thursday and on Fridays
at 11:15 a.m.
Our PM Pre-K students will start
at 1 p.m. Monday through
Thursday with a 3:30 p.m.
dismissal. On Fridays students
will start at 12:45 and be
dismissed at 3 p.m.
