RCS freezes district budget

The Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District announced October 6 that it is freezing its budget for the 2009-10 school year. This decision, made at the October 5 school board meeting, comes after a report from the district’s auditor and the new administrative team’s review of financial reports.


AWB students recognized for achievements on math, ELA, science tests

Many A. W. Becker students were recognized at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 5th for achieving a Level 4 on the 2009 New York State math, ELA or science tests.
 


RCS students welcome cyclists

AW Becker students raise money, welcome riders during the Ride for Missing & Exploited Children

Students at AW Becker Elementary School welcomed 75 bicycle riders to the school on Friday for the Ride for Missing and Exploited Children. AWB students collected more than $250 worth of pennies in support of the ride.

Important information for high schools juniors about the October 17 PSAT exam

The art department's bus trip to NYC has been canceled

Due to lack of interest and not being able to fill the 47 passenger bus, the trip is canceled so the district can get its deposit back. The deadline to cancel is Oct. 7th. Checks will be returned to all those who registered through Continuing Education department.
