District, teachers agree to one-year contract extension
The
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School District has signed a one-year
contract extension with its teachers that means more instructional time,
better compliance with New York State’s physical education standards,
and easier bus routing.
Under the terms of the agreement, students will arrive at A.W. Becker
and Pieter B. Coeymans elementary schools at 8:45 a.m. starting January
4, 2010, which is 15 minutes earlier than the current start time. Also,
students at the two elementary schools will be released on Fridays at
3:15 p.m. instead of at the current 3:00 p.m. teacher release time.
