The A.W. Becker
Elementary School, part of the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Central School
District, has been awarded Energy Star certification for 2009, one of
fewer than 700 schools nationwide to receive this designation.

New elementary schedule
starts January 4
Under the terms of the agreement,
students will arrive at A.W. Becker and Pieter B.
Coeymans elementary schools at 8:45 a.m. starting
January 4, 2010, which is 15 minutes earlier than the
current start time. Also, students at the two elementary
schools will be released on Fridays at 3:15 p.m. instead
of at the current 3:00 p.m. teacher release time.
