Members of the high school band and chorus performed at the Empire State Plaza on Tuesday. Above,  Ryan Adamson and Nick Covey cap off the festive atmosphere with "Santa" hats.

A standing-room only crowd of nearly 200 state workers and visitors to the Empire State Plaza were treated to the melodious sounds of the RCS High School Band and Chorus on Tuesday.

 


Middle School Librarian Cara Buckley is organizing an online book discussion group for area residents, as well as district faculty and staff.
 


A record six RCS students will perform this week at Proctors Theater in shows that will air on TV later this month.

 


Eighth grade student Karin Beswick has been chosen to take part in the National Young Leaders State Conference (NYLSC) in January.

PBC charitable drive seeks to help 80 families this year

A toy drive at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School and the high school will continue through today as RCS students continue their efforts to help those less fortunate.


Second graders to visit Ravena Coeymans Historical Society, view their artistic creations

Second grade students from Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School will tour the Ravena Coeymans Historical Society’s museum on December 13 and view the festive decorations they created.


As reported on Channel 23, students learn charity and math at Wal Mart

Fourth grade students at Pieter B. Coeymans learned a real life lesson in mathematics and charity Friday in the aisles of Wal Mart.


Four-dozen RCS seniors have ensured themselves the start of a higher education next fall.
 


Superintendent Vicki Wright will conduct her next “town hall” style meeting on January 10 in Selkirk.

 


Five fall teams qualified for prestigious New York State Scholar Athlete Team Awards, Athletic Director Ron Racey reported this week.
