The proposed 2008-09 school year budget will reflect the efforts of RCS’ faculty, staff, administrators and students to conserve energy and save taxpayer funds.


Board to consider budget proposal

The Board of Education is scheduled to approve on Monday a final version of the 2008-09 budget proposal to go before voters on May 20.


Bus and radio proposition heading for the ballot

The Board of Education is expected to approve on Monday a proposition that would seek voter approval of a bus purchase and radio system replacement.

The district is now able to take waste oil from its buses and turn it into heat for its workers.

The state budget will increase overall aid to RCS by a little more than $100,000 from earlier budget projections.

Absentee ballots for May elections are  available

RCS district residents who are registered voters and will not be able to vote in person during the May 20 Board of Education elections and district budget vote may apply to receive an absentee ballot.
