Conservation program savings add up

Two full years of energy conservation efforts in the RCS school district have resulted in excess of $670,000 of energy cost avoidance.

Student interest in medical fields fostered with Wednesday tour of Albany Medical Center

Two classes of RCS High School students visited Albany Medical Center on Wednesday, learning about child care, the child care health field and youth illnesses.

Elementary school students are finding money in plastic – but they aren’t swiping a debit or credit card.


An eighth grade student enjoys the Aquatics Center during physical education class. Middle School students are spending a week in the pool during physical education classes this week.

During Monday's Board of Education budget workshop, Interim Business Administrator Dennis Geisler recommended the board increase to $589,750 the fuel budget for the 2008-09 school year.
