Superintendent Vicki Wright outlined for members of the RCS Board of Education the first draft of the district’s corrective action plan for the state audit.

Superintendent Vicki Wright and the Board of Education on Monday recognized Scott Holdren and several other science teachers for their work and dedication to the Science Olympiad.

The two capital project propositions being placed before RCS voters on October 9 are projected to have a combined cost of less than $26,000 a year for district residents

PBC Elementary works with college to bolster reading skills for older students who struggle  

Approximately 10 fourth grade students in RCS who have difficulty reading will receive extra assistance this school year while at the same time helping college educators hone their understanding of how to help older students who struggle to read.


High School adds courses on African-American Literature and Film, Anthropology

High School students will open the book on a new course focusing on African-American literature and an old faithful course, Anthropology, this school year.

Hundreds of parents and community residents spent at least part of Thursday celebrating the opening of the new school year at Pieter B. Coeymans Elementary School.
