Summer reading program opens a new chapter on literacy

Following through on a pre-budget vote promise, RCS schools launched this week an intensive six-week summer reading program.


District, state examining physical education program

RCS officials are working with state in an audit of the Physical Education Department.


Chalkboard, calendar receive national awards

The district newsletter, The Chalkboard, and the school’s calendar have won two awards from the National School Public Relations Association.


Board of Education announces meeting dates

The RCS Board of Education this week outlined meeting dates for the 2008-09 school year.


RCS board elects new leadership

The RCS Board of Education elected Sarah Hafensteiner as president and Cindi Elliot as vice president during its reorganization meeting on Monday.


Hall of Fame inductees announced

Thirty members of the RCS Class of 2008 were inducted recently into the district’s into Hall of Fame.
