AWB fifth graders take first prize in ballroom dance competition
A message from AWB kindergarten teacher Veronica Mitchell:
"Please help me in congratulating the fifth-grade ballroom dance team for taking first place in the Dance Crazy Competition held at Schenectady High School on Sunday, May 17th. Our team displayed respect for all participants and demonstrated a graciousness that makes them true ambassadors for A.W. Becker and for the RCS school district.
"Thanks to those of you who were able to attend and join in supporting our team. Your presence was very important and made all the difference in the world to our students. A very heartfelt 'thank you' to those who have helped in the instruction of these wonderful students. And I can’t thank the parents enough for their help and support throughout this program.
"But most of all, I am truly honored to have been able to work with this wonderful group of children. Thanks for being the team that I knew you could be. Your love and respect for each other was very evident and you will never forget this special day in your life."
