Seventeen students enrolled in
courses offered through the Capital Region BOCES
Career & Technical School in Colonie were
honored for excellence in their career and
technical and academic studies at both Career &
Tech and their home high schools by being
inducted into the National Technical Honor
Society. The students had to earn a 92 average
or higher at Career & Tech, an overall average
of 85 or higher at their high schools, and have
five or fewer absences.

The National Technical Honor
Society recognizes outstanding achievement at
both the Capital Region Career & Technical
School, where most students spend half their
school day, and a student’s home high school.
The Honor Society’s mission is to recognize
student achievement and leadership, promote
educational excellence and enhance career
opportunities for career and technical students.
Attributes of Honor Society members include
skill, honesty, service, responsibility,
scholarship, citizenship, leadership and
knowledge.
The Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical
School offers more than 40 programs of study for
high school and adult students at its campuses
in Albany (Colonie) and Schoharie. The school is
